Letter From The Editor

This week in Melbourne made me wonder, what the Holy Hell is happening in our society? We had a poor Skybus driver pull over his vehicle on the airport run because some maniac was hammering on the door, and when he opened it the guy decided to begin hammering on the driver, who fought back, but had a heart attack shortly after and had to be carted off to hospital. We hope he has made a full recovery.

Spurious social-media-health-and-wellness-fictitious-cancer-survivor, Belle Gibson had her colours lowered completely by Tara Brown (60 Minutes) who kept it real by questioning Gibson's authenticity repeatedly, which left us with our own questions. Namely who is to blame for this fiasco? Multi-million dollar corporations supporting Gibson's bullshit that she's a cancer victim and whether they'll be sued by people who followed her advice, to the detriment of their health?

This raised questions about being Artificial, which took us into the realm of Artificial Intelligence which is shaking a few cages, and with the release of Arnie's new Terminator film, seemed appropriate timing to look at such a subject.

We're delighted to be bringing you Erin Armstrong's art and hope you foodies get off on seeing how the Prototype Design Lab were able to transform the Manitou Lodge's industrial kitchen!

Some of our mates are in Greece travelling, where financially the situation is anything but stable and we wonder what the closing of banks means to tourists? We hope if they're reading this they're ok. Social media if you need help! What will become of the European Union is the single most intriguing question on the financial landscape at present after 40 billion was wiped from Australian stocks yesterday.
